On the 11th, at the People Power Party's national convention, Jo Soo-jin, elected as the senior Supreme Council member, stated, "The intention behind electing me to the presidential election leadership is to listen to the experience with the passion of a first-term member and to definitely achieve regime change."
Jo said, "The overwhelming support for me, a woman in her 40s from Honam, represents a revolutionary change, a storm-like change," adding, "We must look only at the historic goal of regime change, start anew, and unite completely as one. I will dedicate myself with sweat, effort, and tears for victory."
Assembly member Bae Hyun-jin also said, "I hope everyone remembers that we are a family united for regime change," emphasizing, "To win the presidential election, we will immediately mobilize potential candidates outside the party to create a presidential primary that attracts public attention and participation."
Former Assembly member Kim Jae-won expressed his ambition to stabilize the party's core. Kim said, "The business cards I handed out during the campaign read 'I will correct the party's center.' I think this is a request to restore balance," adding, "I will take the lead in navigating the rough waves of the presidential election and personally demonstrate stable regime acquisition."
Jeong Mi-kyung, a former Assembly member who has already served as a Supreme Council member in the party’s predecessor, the Liberty Korea Party, and was re-elected this time, said, "Like managing household affairs, I will carefully observe the points that those leading the fight at the front may overlook and always check to ensure the party moves in the right direction."
