Justice Party "Lee Jun-seok New Party Leader, Expecting Conservative Innovation and Dynamism"
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 11th, the Justice Party congratulated Lee Jun-seok on his election as the new leader of the People Power Party, stating, "We expect innovation and dynamism in conservatism."
In a statement, the Justice Party said, "We extend our congratulations to Lee Jun-seok, who was elected as the new leader of the People Power Party," and added, "We look forward to innovation and dynamism toward a new conservatism, rather than the hostile symbiosis of the two-party camp politics." They also added, "We hope for a democratic party relationship that can create agreed-upon changes in the National Assembly and ensure pluralism."
They also mentioned Lee’s emphasis on 'meritocracy' as a condition for fair competition, stating, "'Meritocratic competition' should take place in the political arena, not in the living spaces of citizens. The tilted playing field of inequality and discrimination is a stark reality," and emphasized, "We expect fierce competition in the political arena on whether to move toward 'fairness based on meritocracy' or 'coexistence toward equality' living together."
