Sacheon City Hosts Seoul Grand Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Opera Gala Concert'

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City, Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that the skilled Seoul Grand Philharmonic Orchestra, which has been continuously active with events such as the presidential breakfast concert and open music concerts, will hold an 'Opera Gala Concert' at 7:30 PM on the 24th at the Sacheon City Culture and Arts Center.
Conducted by Seo Hoon, this performance opens with the overture of Rossini's opera "The Thieving Magpie," based on an incident that took place in France.
It also features opera pieces spanning classical, romantic, and modern eras by composers such as Gounod, Offenbach, Puccini, Saint-Sa?ns, Mozart, Rolf L?blan, Verdi, Eduardo Di Capua, Bizet, Francesco Sartori, and Leh?r.
In particular, the sweet voices of Korea's top vocalists combined with the host's storytelling make it easy and enjoyable to appreciate opera even for those unfamiliar with it.
This performance will also showcase eight exquisite arias performed by soprano Kim Sun-young and Do Hee-sun, mezzo-soprano Shin Hyun-sun and Yang Song-mi, tenor Son Min-ho and Isaiah, and baritone Kim Jong-pyo and Oh Dong-guk.
