Paju-si Confirms Winning Design for 'Geumchon Civil-Military Complex Community Center'
Selected Works of '818 Geonchuksa Samuso'... High Scores for Originality and Practicality
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Paju City, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that it has "selected the winning design for the Geumchon Civil-Military Complex Community Center construction design competition."
According to the city, among a total of 16 submissions, the judging committee selected the work by '818 Architects Office' on the 9th.
The winning design received high scores for the community center's originality and practicality that citizens can affectionately enjoy.
The winner will be granted the rights for basic and detailed design, and other prize winners will receive compensation for the competition.
The Geumchon Civil-Military Complex Community Center will be constructed on a 3,841㎡ site at 947-28 Geumchon-dong, with a total project cost of 26.2 billion KRW, including 8 billion KRW in national funding.

With a total floor area of approximately 6,000㎡, the design is scheduled to be completed by March next year, and the construction is expected to be finished in the second half of 2023.
