Hyundai Kefico Partners with Local Companies to Foster Personal Mobility in Daegu
Hyundai Kefico Supplies Electric Motorcycle Drive Systems and IoT Monitoring Services in Daegu
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Hyundai Kefico announced on the 11th that it signed a 'Business Agreement for the Promotion of Personal Mobility in Daegu City' with 10 organizations, including the Daegu Machinery Parts Research Institute, on the 10th.
According to this agreement, Hyundai Kefico and consortium participants such as the Daegu Machinery Parts Research Institute, E3 Mobility, Parking Cloud, Mesh Korea, and Poongsan System will mutually cooperate to foster the manufacturing industry and establish a service-type mobility industry ecosystem, including battery recycling solutions.
First, Hyundai Kefico will supply a Korean-style high-performance electric motorcycle drive system and provide IoT (Internet of Things)-based vehicle management and control services. Hyundai Kefico plans to pilot a battery exchange service business targeting various regional commercial delivery operators through open collaboration with local governments and regional specialized companies.
The electric motorcycle drive system introduced by Hyundai Kefico is a 96V voltage system with two 48V battery packs connected in series. It maintains high output even during high-speed driving or uphill conditions and minimizes the chronic issue of short driving range in electric mobility through a safe optimal voltage (48V) replaceable battery pack and exchange stations.
Additionally, Hyundai Kefico's IoT mobility service 'MOLDA' provides convenient services such as vehicle status checks, management and control, and battery exchange reservations through a mobile application linked with the vehicle controller and radar.
