Gyeonginsa Appoints Former Blue House Secretary Joo Hyun as New President of Industrial Research Institute
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Sun-hee] The Economic and Humanities Research Council (Gyeonginsa) under the Prime Minister's Office announced on the 10th that Ju Hyun, former Secretary for Small and Medium Ventures at the Blue House (age 60), has been appointed as the 22nd President of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade.
Gyeonginsa made this decision at its 304th board meeting held on the same day. The appointment ceremony is scheduled for the 14th. The term of office is three years, until June 13, 2024.

President Ju previously served as Secretary for Small and Medium Ventures at the Presidential Secretariat of the Blue House, Vice President of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade, member of the Statistics Korea Self-Evaluation Committee, Vice President of the Korean Small Business Association, and visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
