Gyeongnam Province Reports 12 New COVID-19 Cases... Total Reaches 4,942 (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM, 12 new confirmed cases have been reported since 5 PM the previous day.
By region, there are 3 cases in Jinju, 3 in Gimhae, 3 in Changnyeong, and 1 each in Changwon, Miryang, and Yangsan.
Among the 3 confirmed cases in Jinju, 2 are contacts of confirmed cases within the province, and 1 is an acquaintance who tested positive, classified as cases 4937 to 4939.
Among the 3 confirmed cases in Gimhae, 2 tested positive during proactive testing of entertainment venue workers and were classified as cases 4940 and 4941.
One case was tested due to symptom onset and tested positive, classified as case 4934.
The 3 confirmed cases in Changnyeong are related to a foreigner restaurant cluster, testing positive and classified as cases 4935, 4943, and 4944. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Changnyeong foreigner restaurant cluster to 87.
The 1 confirmed case in Changwon and the 1 in Miryang are currently under investigation for infection routes and were classified as cases 4942 and 4936, respectively.
The 1 confirmed case in Yangsan tested positive during proactive testing of daycare center workers conducted by the province and was classified as case 4945.
