Emart's May Sales Reach 1.26 Trillion Won, Up 16.4% Year-on-Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Emart announced on the 10th that its sales revenue (net sales) based on separate financial statements reached 1,264.1 billion KRW in May, marking a 16.4% increase compared to the same month last year. The total sales amount, representing gross sales, was recorded at 1,385.4 billion KRW, up 15.6%.

The sales growth of the warehouse discount store Traders was particularly notable. In May, Traders' sales amounted to 290.2 billion KRW, a 31.7% increase compared to the same month last year. Large mart sales increased by 15.1% to 988.6 billion KRW, while specialty stores saw a 0.9% decrease to 104.8 billion KRW.
