Transfer also on the Home Screen... KakaoBank Launches Widget Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KakaoBank announced on the 10th that it has launched a 'Transfer Widget' available for Android-based smartphones.
The widget is a feature that allows users to quickly and easily check information on their smartphone home screen without launching the mobile application (app). KakaoBank had previously introduced the iOS transfer widget in February.
The KakaoBank widget displays all favorite accounts from the app on the home screen. By tapping the desired account, users are taken to the KakaoBank app where they can enter the amount and complete the transfer.
The transfer widget also offers various themes and size adjustment options. In addition to the default theme, Kakao Friends and Niniz character themes are available, allowing customers to customize their home screen according to their preferences. The widget service plans to expand to various financial services beyond transfers, based on user feedback and responses.
