Gimhae City Choir to Hold 53rd Regular Concert on the 16th
New Start Presented by New Conductor Choi Inhwan
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it will hold the 53rd regular concert of the Gimhae City Choir at 7 p.m. on the 16th at the Maru Hall of the Gimhae Culture and Arts Center.
This regular concert, under the theme "New Start," marks a new beginning for the city choir together with the newly appointed conductor Choi In-hwan, who took office in April.
Conductor Choi graduated from the vocal music department of Seoul National University, went to the United States to obtain a master's degree in vocal music from Manhattan School of Music, and actively worked as a vocalist, appearing in operas such as "Gianni Schicchi" and "Mudang."
The concert will begin with Conductor Choi’s explanations to help the audience understand the pieces, followed by a diverse and rich stage featuring a total of 12 pieces, including three choral works by William Byrd, the greatest composer of the English Renaissance, and Bach’s Cantata BWV 4.

Meanwhile, since its founding in 1991, the Gimhae City Choir has delighted citizens every year with diverse performances, and in April, it once again proved its skills by appearing in the original opera "Heo Wanghu," produced by Gimhae City and the Gimhae Cultural Foundation.
