[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 8th, 38 new confirmed cases occurred since 5 PM the previous day.
By region, there were 15 in Changnyeong, 9 in Gimhae, 5 in Yangsan, 3 in Jinju, 3 in Haman, 2 in Changwon, and 1 in Sancheong.
All 15 confirmed cases in Changnyeong are related to a foreign restaurant in Changnyeong. During the proactive testing of foreigners, additional positive cases were identified and classified as numbers 4875 to 4889. This brings the total confirmed cases related to the Changnyeong foreign restaurant to 67.
Among the 9 confirmed cases in Gimhae, 5 were contacts of confirmed cases within the province and were classified as numbers 4891 to 4895.
The other 4 were tested due to symptom onset and confirmed positive, classified as numbers 4859, 4866, 4890, and 4896.
Of the 5 confirmed cases in Yangsan, 4 were related to a Yangsan entertainment bar and tested positive during quarantine, classified as numbers 4867 and 4871 to 4873.
The remaining 1 was a family member of a confirmed case within the province and was classified as number 4868.
Among the 3 confirmed cases in Jinju, 2 were family members of confirmed cases within the province and classified as numbers 4863 and 4874.
1 was tested due to symptom onset and classified as number 4860.
All 3 confirmed cases in Haman are family-related and were classified as numbers 4862, 4864, and 4865.
The 2 confirmed cases in Changwon were either family members of confirmed cases within the province or tested due to symptom onset, classified as numbers 4861 and 4870.
The single confirmed case in Sancheong was an acquaintance of a confirmed case within the province and classified as number 4869.
