Hamyang-gun Explores New Southern Markets ... Online Export Consultation Held
Online Meetings Scheduled on 10-11th Between 17 Agrifood Companies and 39 Buyers from Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it will promote an online export consultation meeting to inject new export vitality by pioneering markets in the New Southern Region amid the confusion in the global export market caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the US-China trade conflict.
The event, promoted by Hamyang-gun and the Hamyang Agricultural Food Export Promotion Association, will be held over two days on the 10th and 11th at the Hamyang-gun Office large conference room. It will be conducted as one-on-one online consultations between 17 Hamyang agricultural food export specialized companies and 39 local buyers from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
Moreover, this export consultation meeting holds even greater significance as it is being promoted ahead of the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo, an international event held in Hamyang, the mecca of the anti-aging industry, from September 10 to October 10, lasting about a month.
For this event, product samples and promotional materials were sent in advance to overseas local consultation venues. A total of about 100 online consultations are expected over the two days, with great interest from overseas buyers in various Hamyang products including anti-aging agricultural foods such as processed wild ginseng products, bamboo salt, bitter melon pills, purple sweet potato extract, tteokbokki, as well as health foods and convenience food products.
