Being a Companion is Also a 'Sohwakhaeng'... Dongmyeong University Volunteer Group and Student Council Share Warmth with Elderly and Disabled Households
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Thirty-six members of the student volunteer group at Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) visited 12 households of elderly and disabled people in Nam-gu, Busan, on June 4th, together with the 43rd Grida Student Council, to gift rice and provide companionship, sharing warmth through volunteer activities.
Student Jang Min-young (Chairperson of External Cooperation Promotion Committee, Department of Tourism Management, 4th year) said, “I realized that many people still need help, and if we show great interest and offer helping hands to them, we can all experience ‘Sohwakheng’ (small but certain happiness).”

Faculty and students of the university have been conducting this volunteer work since May, targeting a total of 42 households of disabled people in the region supported by the Nam-gu Disabled Welfare Center in Busan (Director Yoo Kyung-sang).
