On the 4th, the Guro Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating an 80-year-old woman, Ms. A, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act for cultivating poppies on the rooftop of a building.
According to the police, Ms. A is suspected of cultivating 227 poppy plants, which are the raw material for opium, on the rooftop of a building she owns in Guro-gu.
