Daegu City Hosts 'Ecological Transportation International Conference' on World Bicycle Day

The event was held in three sessions with the attendance of H.E. Joanne Doornewaard, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Korea, and Kwon Young-jin, Mayor of Daegu City.
In Session 1, the Bicycle Riding Movement Federation, the National Council for Sustainable Development Ecological Transportation Network, and Daegu City presented on the current status and improvement plans for bicycle infrastructure for carbon neutrality, citizen bicycle actions, bicycle commuting challenges, and Daegu City's bicycle promotion policies.
Session 2, hosted by the Dutch Cycling Embassy, a private network that spreads Dutch bicycle culture and policies overseas, introduced successful cases of Dutch bicycle policies. Session 3 introduced the bicycle policies of Utrecht, the Netherlands' fourth-largest city, aimed at realizing carbon neutrality.
