On the 3rd, at De Beach Golf Course in Geoje City, Gyeongnam (Par 72, 7,157 yards), during the 64-player round of the KPGA Descent Korea Munsingwear Match Play (total prize money 800 million KRW), he defeated Kwon Oh-sang (26) by 3 holes. Following his victory at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open on the 9th of last month, he secured his 4th career win after a long gap of 6 years and 1 month since the Dongbu Fire Promy Open in April 2015. This event is the only match play on the Korean Tour, presenting him with an opportunity to achieve his second win of the season.
Heo In-hoe took an early lead by winning 6 of the first 10 holes. His wife, Yuk Eun-chae, continued to serve as his caddie, drawing additional attention. He said, "Making a 7-meter long-distance birdie putt on the 2nd hole boosted my confidence," and added, "Personally, I like the match play format where each hole is a separate contest." In the round of 32, he will face Yoo Song-gyu (25). Although Kwon Oh-sang recovered 3 holes between the 13th and 15th holes in the back nine, it was not enough.
