Seoul City’s New Spokesperson: Lee Chang-geun, Former Vice President of Yeouido Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 2nd that it will appoint Lee Chang-geun, former Vice President of the Yeouido Research Institute, as its spokesperson effective the 3rd.
The new spokesperson was appointed through an open recruitment process conducted in April, followed by deliberations by a selection committee composed of external experts and a personnel committee. The term of office is two years.
The new spokesperson has experience in policy promotion covering overall state affairs at the Presidential Secretariat and is an expert who has conducted policy research in various fields. He will perform the role of spokesperson communicating and cooperating with citizens regarding Seoul city administration.
