Fire at Yeosu Industrial Complex Manufacturing Plant
Last Month, Three Consecutive Fire Accidents Occurred
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shim Kyung-taek] A fire broke out in a warehouse of a manufacturing company within the Yeosu National Industrial Complex in Jeonnam and was extinguished by the fire authorities within about 30 minutes.
According to the Yeosu Fire Station on the 2nd, "A fire broke out around 11 p.m. on the 1st in a warehouse of a pipe cleaning company in Hwachi-dong National Industrial Complex and was extinguished within 30 minutes," it said.
There were no casualties from the fire, but machines and fixtures were burned, causing property damage estimated by the fire station at about 20 million won.
The fire authorities believe the fire started from the distribution board inside the factory building and are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
