According to the county on the 2nd, last August, Jeollanam-do and GFI Development Co., Ltd. signed an MOU to create a stay-type tourist complex in the Doam-myeon Gaudo area, investing about 370 billion KRW of private capital.
The first phase involves installing experiential tourist facilities such as a marine cable car connecting Jeodu-Gaudo-Mangho, sky bike, and alpine coaster, and the second phase plans to build accommodation facilities in the Jeoduri area of Daegu-myeon, with phased progress scheduled until 2024.
Accordingly, in October last year, the Jeodu district was designated and announced as a restricted area for development permits, and in February, a residents' briefing session was held for private investment in the Gaudo area. GFI Development Co., Ltd. signed an agreement among related parties in March to participate financially in the private investment project for smooth project promotion.
Also, on the 1st of this month, aiming to start construction of the sky bike in August, the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation was directly commissioned for cadastral surveying, with the development project support team in charge and related service companies attending the survey.
In addition, administrative support is being provided without hesitation for various permits, including the designation of the Jeodu district as an urban development zone and strategic environmental impact assessments.
The county plans to continue the large-scale private investment project without setbacks through continuous consultations with GFI Development Co., Ltd., aiming to foster Gaudo as a tourism hub on the southern coast.
