Nongshim Veggie Garden Launches Two Types of 'Vegan Dumplings'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Nongshim announced on the 2nd that it has newly launched the vegan brand Veggie Garden's new product, "See-Through Hearty Dumplings."
While most vegan dumplings on the market are mainly made with vegetables and tofu, Veggie Garden dumplings feature Nongshim's independently developed plant-based meat that replicates the chewiness and juiciness of real meat.
The flavors come in two varieties: "Fragrant Chive" and "Spicy Kimchi," allowing consumers to enjoy according to their preference. Both products use 100% plant-based ingredients. By slightly opening the packaging and microwaving for 3 minutes, consumers can conveniently prepare steamed dumplings.
Earlier this year, Nongshim announced the full-scale promotion of its vegan brand Veggie Garden, introducing a variety of products including plant-based meat, frozen prepared foods, instant convenience meals, sauces, seasonings, and plant-based cheese.
Nongshim Veggie Garden is characterized by its proprietary HMMA (High Moisture Meat Analog) technology, which replicates the taste and texture similar to real meat, including the unique juiciness of meat. This is the most advanced technology currently available for producing plant-based meat.
Thanks to its excellent taste and quality, Veggie Garden has gained recognition as a "delicious vegan food" among consumers who prefer vegan diets. Currently, Nongshim Veggie Garden products are sold offline at stores such as E-Mart Naturalism, department stores, and convenience stores, as well as online through platforms like Coupang and Market Kurly.
