Members of the Naver cafe "Banpo Hangang Incident Truth Seekers (Banjinsa)" held a press conference on the 1st in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Naejadong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, stating, "We earnestly ask the investigative authorities, who have so far avoided addressing the controversies over the initial investigation's inadequacies and the suspicions surrounding Son's cause of death, to awaken justice without any shame to the public," and "We strongly request the public release of all original CCTV footage related to the lie detector test of Mr. A."
Banjinsa was established with the purpose of properly uncovering the circumstances of Son's death, and since the online cafe was launched on the 16th of last month, more than 33,000 netizens have joined. Banjinsa has stated that if the police do not accept their demands, they will take further action.

Regarding the press conference, a Seoul police official said, "We have posted the investigation status on our website so far and told people to contact us anytime if they have questions or requests," adding, "If a formal request is made, we will respond within the scope possible." He continued, "Since the materials were posted with the intention of sufficient communication unless it concerns sensitive parts of the ongoing investigation, we would appreciate it if that channel is utilized."
