Overseas Culture Promotion Agency's UNESCO Cultural Heritage Exploration Event for Foreign Residents in Korea
The Overseas Cultural Promotion Service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 1st that it will conduct the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Exploration event for foreigners residing in Korea using both in-person and online methods. This provides an opportunity for foreign university students in Korea to experience Korean cultural heritage. Following last year, this year as well, the exploration of cultural heritage will be available online through documentaries and entertainment formats for each heritage site. Starting on the 2nd with "Who Knows Silla Better?" exploring the Gyeongju Historic Areas and Bulguksa Temple, a total of twelve episodes will be shown.

The in-person small group explorations will be held four times in sequence at the Jeonju National Intangible Heritage Center, Nonsan Donam Seowon Confucian Academy, Baekje Historic Areas, and Namhansanseong Fortress. About ten participants, including foreigners recruited through open calls and Korea.net honorary reporters, will join each exploration. Cultural heritage lectures introducing Hanbok and Kimjang culture will also be offered online in June and November. All videos and lectures can be accessed on the Overseas Cultural Promotion Service's YouTube channel and the UNESCO Cultural Heritage Exploration website.
