Top 'Career Counselors' Are Seniors... Dongmyeong University Advertising PR Department, Consecutive Career Lectures 'Seniors' Career Counseling Center'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Indeed, the best 'career counseling centers' are the seniors. Their stories about career paths and successful employment are truly engaging.
The career special lectures at Dongmyung University, conducted by seniors for juniors, have been very popular for four years.
The Department of Advertising and PR at Dongmyung University held two career special lectures on May 11 and May 25. The consecutive lectures, conducted as part of the 'Seniors' Employment Counseling Center' program, featured Mr. Yoo Jae-min, team leader at Maximus Co., Ltd., a global employment support consulting firm, and Mr. Kim Young-gyu, staff at Hanssem INT Business Division, as instructors.
The lecture by team leader Yoo Jae-min, an alumnus from the class of 2001 at Dongmyung University, was held as a real-time online lecture on the 11th.
In the lecture attended by 120 students, Team Leader Yoo analyzed and compared the job market before and after COVID-19, then precisely explained employment strategies for Advertising and PR students in the COVID-19 era.
Mr. Kim Young-gyu from the class of 2015 conducted an in-person lecture on May 25 in Room 107 of the Dongmyung University Business Building.
In the lecture attended by 85 students, Mr. Kim shared know-how on writing self-introduction letters, AI interview techniques, and strategies for a successful university life.
Jang Won-young, a sophomore who participated in both the first and second sessions of the Seniors' Employment Counseling Center lectures, said, "The lectures by seniors who are actively working in various fields of society were interesting. I will strive to become someone who can share my experiences with juniors, just like the seniors who shared their employment processes and life experiences."
The Seniors' Employment Counseling Center is a program where graduates from the Department of Advertising and PR at Dongmyung University serve as instructors to introduce their areas of expertise, work life, and employment methods, and provide employment consulting through Q&A sessions.
