View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 25th that Minister Moon Seong-hyeok will hold consecutive meetings with government officials from Indonesia and Canada on the 26th, coinciding with the '2021 P4G' (Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030) Summit's special ocean session.
On the afternoon of the 26th, Minister Moon will first meet with Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Maritime Investment, who is visiting Seoul to attend the ocean special session at the Marriott Hotel in Jongno-gu. Minister Moon plans to exchange views on deepening bilateral cooperation in areas such as decarbonization technologies in the shipping sector and blue carbon resource collaboration, which are the themes of the ocean special session.
Later that day at 10 p.m., at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), where the ocean special session will be held, he will meet with Michael Danagher, Canadian Ambassador to Korea, to discuss responses to Japan's Fukushima nuclear wastewater discharge into the ocean and marine plastic management, seeking ways to cooperate.
The 2021 P4G Seoul Green Future Summit will be held in Seoul on the 30th and 31st, with President Moon Jae-in, major world leaders, and heads of international organizations totaling over 60 attendees.
