Ahn Cheol-soo: "Youth Gambling Is Serious, but Government Keeps Talking About 'Geomsu Wanbak'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, criticized the government for still only talking about 'Geomsu Wanbak (complete removal of prosecutorial investigation rights)' despite the serious issue of youth gambling.
On the 25th, Ahn stated on Facebook, "Regarding the issue of youth gambling, is the government still obsessed with Geomsu Wanbak?"
Ahn pointed out, "It is said that investigative agencies have not properly investigated because gambling servers are overseas until the problem of youth gambling becomes serious," adding, "The government is effectively neglecting an important matter related to the livelihood of the people and the future of youth."
He continued, "The Ministry of Justice is only focused on completely removing prosecutorial investigation rights to cover up crimes of the regime, abolished the 'Joint Securities Crime Investigation Unit,' and is showing inconsistent behavior by creating a similar organization again, showing no interest in proper legal administration."
