Opening of Hope Sharing Store at Gurye-eup Permanent Market Following Sandong-myeon
Spreading Sharing Culture in Daily Life... Welfare Counseling Office Also Operated Concurrently
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Mi-seok] On the 25th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Soon-ho) and the Gurye-gun Community Social Security Council announced the opening of the ‘New Tainneunghae Gurye Hope Sharing Store’ in the Gurye-eup permanent market to practice and spread sharing in daily life.
The Gurye Hope Sharing Store is operated by the Gurye-gun Community Social Security Council, organized through a public project by the Jeonnam Social Welfare Community Chest.
When local residents donate food items, daily necessities, etc. to the sharing store, neighbors in need such as basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups can take 2 to 3 items free of charge once a month.
Along with sponsorship from companies and organizations, it is expected to contribute to the activation of a sharing culture by residents donating in their daily lives.
About 30 people, including Kim Soon-ho, Governor of Gurye-gun, Lim Jae-shin, private chairman of the Gurye-gun Community Social Security Council, Yoo Si-moon, chairman of the Gurye-gun Council, and council members, attended the opening ceremony and held a ribbon-cutting event.
Private Chairman Lim Jae-shin said, “We will do our best to operate the Hope Sharing Store so that anyone can give help and neighbors in need can receive help anytime.”
Governor Kim Soon-ho of Gurye-gun said, “I deeply thank everyone who helped open the second sharing store following the Sandong-myeon Sharing Store,” and added, “Through the Hope Sharing Store, which inherits the spirit of Tainneunghae of Unjoru, I hope all the residents who give and receive donations will become happy and warm Gurye.”
The Hope Sharing Store operates every Tuesday from around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A welfare counseling office is also operated simultaneously so that users can receive customized welfare counseling if desired.
