'Scattered Local Infections Continue' 11 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Sporadic COVID-19 infections continue to spread in Gwangju.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 25th, as of 2 p.m. that day, 11 people were confirmed positive and registered as cases 2731 to 2741.
They include 1 person related to livestock product distribution business, 5 related to existing confirmed cases, 1 related to confirmed cases from other regions, and 4 under investigation for infection routes.
Cases 2732, 2736, 2738, and 2741 were found to be related to case 2701, who is a store employee at a multi-use facility in Seo-gu.
Case 2701, confirmed positive on the 23rd, still has an unidentified infection route.
Cases 2733 and 2735 were confirmed positive during self-quarantine related to cases 2700 and 2664, whose infection routes are unclear.
Case 2734 was classified as related to the livestock product distribution business. The quarantine authorities conducted tests on 180 people connected to the livestock product distribution company, confirming 14 positive and 145 negative cases, while awaiting results for 21 individuals.
Case 2740 was related to Jeonnam case 1238.
Four cases were also confirmed positive through symptomatic testing.
