Gwangju City Publishes Investment Promotion Brochure
Produced 1,000 Copies in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English... Utilized for Domestic and International Investment Attraction
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that it has published an investment attraction promotional booklet titled "Gwangju Metropolitan City, the Global Business Success Partner Leading the Future of Korea," which contains the changed investment environment of Gwangju.
This promotional booklet clearly presents Gwangju's investment environment, investment strengths, representative industries, industrial complexes, investment incentives, and other necessary information to attract potential investors' interest in Gwangju.
In particular, it includes six investment strengths: securing excellent human resources in Gwangju, expanding connectivity with new industries fostering artificial intelligence, affordable industrial complexes and free economic zones, the Gwangju-type labor-management win-win city, well-connected transportation and convenient logistics infrastructure, and a safe and pleasant city.
It also introduces Gwangju's representative industries requiring investment, such as artificial intelligence and drone industries, eco-friendly automobile industry, air appliances and air industry, photonics convergence industry, energy and hydrogen industry, and medical and healthcare industry.
Furthermore, it contains information on a total of 13 industrial complexes including the Energy Valley Industrial Complex, Bitgreen Industrial Complex, and Advanced 3rd District Industrial Complex within the Free Economic Zone, guidance on eligible business types and sales periods, investment incentive support requirements and procedures, tax reduction systems, and special support for the Free Economic Zone.
The promotional booklet will be published in 1,000 copies (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English) and used for online and offline investment attraction activities. It will also be distributed and promoted to domestic and international investment-related organizations, groups, and companies interested in investment.

Since the 7th term of the elected government, Gwangju has conducted various investment attraction activities and signed investment agreements with 140 domestic and foreign companies interested in investing in Gwangju.

Kim Dae-jung, head of the city’s Investment Attraction Division, said, “The promotional booklet contains the designation of Gwangju Economic Free Zone, Gwangju’s representative promising industries, and other recent changes in Gwangju’s investment environment. Although difficulties in attracting domestic and foreign investment continue due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to actively carry out investment attraction activities using this promotional material.”
