Professor Ko Yejung of Gwangju University Selected for Ministry of Science and ICT Supported 'First Career Research Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 25th that Professor Ko Yejung of the Department of Nursing has been selected as a recipient of the '2021 First Research Project' supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea.
The 'First Research Project' is a government initiative aimed at providing research opportunities and facilitating early research settlement for promising early-career researchers with research capabilities.
Professor Ko will receive a total research fund of 90 million KRW over three years until 2023 for the project titled "Development and Evaluation of a Mobile Application for Parent Education to Prevent Smartphone Overdependence in Infants and Toddlers."

Professor Ko Yejung stated, "Through this research, I aim to contribute to the prevention of smartphone overdependence, policy development, and addiction-related psychiatric nursing interventions in the local community."
