GIST Selected as Operating Institution for K-Digital Project by Ministry of Employment and Labor
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) announced on the 25th that it has been selected as an operating institution for the K-Digital Platform, Training, Credit project organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Accordingly, GIST will expand participating companies and extend connections with various industries such as finance and blockchain to actively foster digital convergence talents.
The K-Digital Platform, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a project that supports the establishment of digital new technology facilities for joint training centers. GIST plans to build infrastructure worth 3 billion KRW over five years to provide customized education and equipment to local companies.
K-Digital Training and Credit is a project that cultivates practical talents with basic capabilities in the digital field through institutions with innovative technologies and training methods. GIST will train 90 people annually through the Training (offline) project and 2,000 people annually through the Credit (online) project, providing internships and employment opportunities in connection with CJ OliveNetworks, Megazone Cloud, DreamAce, and the Artificial Intelligence Association.
