Seongdong Residents and Famous Hip-Hop Artist 'Paloalto' Perform at 'Under Seongsu Bridge'
Seongdong-gu to Host 'United in Seongsu' with Famous Domestic Hip-Hop Label 'Highlight Records' at Seongsu Art Hall on the 28th at 7:30 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Wono) will hold an online hip-hop concert together with famous hip-hop artists active based in Seongdong-gu.
On the 28th at 7:30 PM, Seongdong-gu will host 'United in Seongsu' at Seongsu Art Hall in collaboration with the famous domestic hip-hop label 'Highlight Records'.
This concert, broadcast live on Highlight Records' official YouTube channel, can be watched in real-time for free by anyone without a separate reservation.
The lineup of artists participating in 'United in Seongsu' is as impressive as any other concert.
Leading the lineup is 'Paloalto,' a veteran artist widely known as the winner of the 11th Korean Music Awards for Best Rap/Hip-hop Album and a frequent producer on Mnet's hip-hop audition program 'Show Me The Money.' The list of participating artists encompassing the hip-hop scene raises expectations for the concert.
In addition, 'Under Seongsu Bridge,' a six-member hip-hop crew composed of members affiliated with Seongdong-gu, is also included in the list of artists performing at 'United in Seongsu.' Through their album of the same name released last January, they captured various scenes of Seongdong-gu, the neighborhood where they grew up, and are considered a rising rookie group in the hip-hop scene.
This concert was promptly realized through the collaboration between Seongdong-gu, which was contemplating 'psychological quarantine' for residents who have had significantly fewer opportunities to enjoy cultural and artistic performances due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and Paloalto, who is affectionately called the 'Seongsu-dong Gaebum' among fans for capturing various spots of Seongsu-dong on social media as a resident of Seongdong-gu.
Paloalto said, "As a resident of Seongdong-gu, I feel honored to create a meaningful performance together with Seongdong-gu this time," and added, "We are preparing a great show, so I hope many people enjoy it through YouTube."

Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, also said, "I think it is very meaningful that Seongdong-gu has joined forces with artists such as Paloalto and Under Seongsu Bridge, who show special interest and affection for Seongdong-gu, to prepare a stage for those exhausted by COVID-19," and added, "As Seongdong-gu is recently emerging as a cultural and artistic hub leading trends, we will continue to explore various ways to engage with diverse groups through this concert."
