Overseas Culture Promotion Institute, International Hallyu Content Contest Announcement
'TalkTalk Korea 2021' K-pop MV and Hanbok Photo Shoot Submissions Open
The Overseas Culture and Information Service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold "Talk Talk Korea 2021" from the 25th of this month to July 15. It is an international Hallyu content contest that has attracted over 40,000 participants from 170 countries until last year. Content submissions are accepted in eight themes across three categories: audition, challenge, and special. These include K-pop music videos (video), Hanbok photo shoots (video), modern gugak (traditional Korean music) (video - all audition), Korean talent shows (short videos), Korean traditional culture (illustrations), Korean moment photos (snapshots - both challenge), Korean media art videos, and Overseas Culture and Information Service character emoticons (both special). Participants can create works according to the themes and submit them on the official website. An official stated, "Hallyu stars and social media (SNS) influencers will participate in the audition judging," adding, "The process will be revealed through the Korea.net YouTube channel."

The Overseas Culture and Information Service will select 128 winning works ranked from first to fifth place by theme through two rounds of comprehensive judging and evaluation, including online user voting. Eight first-place winners, one from each theme, will be given a 4-night, 5-day trip to Korea to experience Korean culture. All winners will receive a "K Badge." There will also be an event offering various prizes, including albums signed by Loona, who has been appointed as an overseas promotional ambassador.
