Retired Police Officers Group 'Daehanminguk Jaehyang Gyeongwoohoe' Appoints Kim Yongin as New President

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Kim Yong-in (74), the senior vice president, has been elected as the new president of the Korea National Police Veterans Association, an organization of retired police officers.
The association announced on the 24th that at the "45th National General Assembly" held on the 21st of this month, Kim was appointed as the 23rd president of the central association.
Born in Jeonnam, the new president Kim served as the chief of security during former President Kim Dae-jung's presidential campaign, an administrative officer at the Blue House Civil Affairs Office, and the chief of Gokseong Police Station in Jeonnam. Since the establishment of the association in 1963, this is the first time a former police station chief has been appointed as president.
