KB Kookmin Bank "Over 600 Companies Apply to Participate in Job Fair"
'2021 KB Good Job Ontact Job Fair' Running Until June 11
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 24th that over 600 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies have applied to participate in the ‘2021 KB Good Job Ontact Job Fair,’ which runs until June 11.
‘KB Good Job,’ KB Kookmin Bank’s representative social contribution project, is a job connection initiative ambitiously launched in 2011 to activate youth employment and alleviate recruitment difficulties faced by SMEs and mid-sized companies. Since last year, to comply with social distancing measures for COVID-19 prevention, the fair has been held online in a non-face-to-face format.
The fair was originally planned to operate with about 300 participating companies, but due to applications from over 600 companies?approximately twice the expected number?the number of participating companies was expanded to 370, and online applications were closed early, successfully completing recruitment.
In addition to excellent companies recommended by KB Kookmin Bank, participation is expected to increase among young job seekers due to companies with high future growth potential, including large company partners recommended by the Win-Win Growth Committee, KOSDAQ-listed companies, and startups nurtured by KB Financial Group called ‘KB Starters.’
Meanwhile, KB Kookmin Bank plans to actively support participating companies in resolving their manpower shortages. The bank offers preferential interest rates within a maximum range of 1.3%p through the ‘KB Good Job Interest Rate Preferential Program’ when participating companies apply for new loans at KB Kookmin Bank. Additionally, companies that hire regular employees through the fair will receive a ‘KB Good Job Hiring Support Fund’ of 1 million KRW per person (up to 10 million KRW per company), providing support to reduce financial and labor cost burdens for SMEs.
