Pearl Abyss Acquires 'Lost Kingdom' Developer Factorial Games for 20 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Pearl Abyss announced on the 24th that it has acquired Factorial Games, a mobile game developer famous for 'Lost Kingdom.'
The acquisition involved purchasing 100% of Factorial's shares from game companies such as 4:33 Creative Lab, with a total acquisition amount of approximately 20 billion KRW.
Founded in 2014, Factorial Games is an emerging game developer recognized for its mobile game development capabilities after the success of the mobile RPG Lost Kingdom in 2016. The company is currently conducting pre-registrations ahead of the release of the collectible mobile RPG 'Super String.'
Super String is a game where protagonists from popular webtoons by YLAB, such as Island, Shin Amhaeng Eosa, Resurrection Man, Terror Man, Abyss Sky, and Shinseokgi Nyo, appear within a single universe.
Additionally, Factorial Games is co-developing a new title, 'Project J,' with the famous Japanese game company Square Enix.
