Meanwhile, prior to the Korea-US summit, President Moon attended the Medal of Honor ceremony held at the White House, becoming the first foreign leader to do so, and exchanged greetings with President Biden. President Biden awarded the Medal of Honor to retired Colonel Ralph Puckett, a Korean War veteran. In his remarks, President Moon expressed gratitude to President Biden and congratulated retired Colonel Puckett.
