Gyeongsangnam-do Social Service Institute Shares Policy Research Outcomes with Residents
'2021 1st Gyeongsangnam-do Social Service Institute Policy Seminar' Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The Gyeongsangnam-do Social Service Institute held the '1st Gyeongsangnam-do Social Service Institute Policy Seminar' on the 21st to share the 2020 research results with the residents.
The Social Service Institute selected 'Gyeongsangnam-do Social Service Mid- to Long-Term Development Plan Research' and 'Development of a Regional Integrated Childcare Model' as three major research tasks last year and conducted studies.
The study on improving the treatment of social service workers in Gyeongnam-do?focusing on care workers?identified the current status of treatment and suggested improvement directions through a survey of 1,029 workers providing home visit care services.
To improve treatment, four core strategies and 12 policy tasks were proposed, including improving working conditions, raising wage levels, guaranteeing human rights and safety, and enhancing professionalism.
The Gyeongnam-do Social Service Mid- to Long-Term Development Plan deeply analyzed demand and supply capacity by social service sector to establish a basis for future strategy formulation for social services in Gyeongnam.
The research on developing a regional integrated childcare model derived the 'Gyeongnam-type all-day care system intermediary support organization utilization plan' and 'startup incubation methods for establishing childcare institutions in Gyeongsangnam-do.'
