50s Woman Arrested for Stalking 20s Man for One Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A woman in her 50s who stalked a man in his 20s, whom she met online, for over a year has been arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 21st, the Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul has arrested Kim Mo (53) on charges of trespassing and violating the Minor Offenses Act (continuous harassment) and is investigating the case.
Kim is accused of following and harassing A (22) while demanding a relationship for over a year. She also found out where A lived and trespassed twice. On the 16th at around 4:40 PM, the police responded to A's report that "the stalker came to the front of the house" and arrested Kim on the spot.
It was investigated that Kim obtained the password to the shared entrance door, entered, knocked on A's door, and tried entering the door lock password. She also called A about 20 times a day when A did not answer the phone. It is known that A reported the stalking to the police about 10 times over the past year.
