[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it will begin pre-orders for its new 'Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner' featuring powerful cooling performance and customized design.
The new products, officially launching early next month, are the 'Bespoke Wind-Free Gallery' and the 'Bespoke Wind-Free Wall-Mounted Wide.' They feature bright colors that complement white-toned interiors and a replaceable panel structure designed to harmonize seamlessly from living rooms to bedrooms as a home multi-unit.
The Bespoke Wind-Free Gallery is the top-tier lineup of stand-type wind-free air conditioners, equipped with 'Wind-Free Cooling' that eliminates direct airflow and reduces power consumption, and 'High-Pass Circulation Cooling' that uses a circulator fan to deliver rapid cooling without blind spots.
The Bespoke Wind-Free Gallery, which removed even the air vent, introduced the 'Chevron Metal Art Panel' with a 'V'-shaped lattice pattern on the front earlier this year, and now adds a white color option. This brings the total to seven colors: Chevron White, Chevron Light, Chevron Dark, Chevron Greenery, Chevron Sun Yellow, Brown, and Gray.
Samsung Electronics is also unveiling the Bespoke Wind-Free Wall-Mounted Wide, the first wall-mounted air conditioner to apply the Bespoke concept. This product emphasizes sophistication with a 'flat' design on the front and is available in replaceable gray and white panels.
The Bespoke Wind-Free Wall-Mounted Wide also features differentiated air purification capabilities and hygiene functions applied in the Bespoke Wind-Free Gallery. It is equipped with a 'Clean Sterilization Filter' system that uses a PM1.0 filter to eliminate over 99%¹ of harmful bacteria (E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus).
Additionally, it incorporates 'Easy Care AI,' an artificial intelligence technology that automatically manages the product conveniently, and 'Easy Care Self,' a function that allows consumers to visually inspect and meticulously manage the product themselves when needed.
Samsung Electronics also offers a 'Lifetime Warranty' service for the digital inverter motor and compressor of the Bespoke Wind-Free Air Conditioner, providing free parts repair or replacement if a malfunction occurs during product use.
The suggested retail price for the new products, based on a home multi-package including one unit each of the Bespoke Wind-Free Gallery and Wind-Free Wall-Mounted Wide (including basic installation), ranges from 4.27 million to 5.27 million KRW.
Yang Hye-soon, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "Since the Wind-Free Air Conditioner was first introduced in 2016, it has surpassed 3.33 million units sold domestically as of the end of March this year, thanks to steady consumer love. We will continue to expand Bespoke appliances that actively reflect consumers' lifestyles and preferences."
