Na Kyung-won Decides to Run for People Power Party Leader... "Will Announce Candidacy at National Assembly on the 19th" (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Former People Power Party lawmaker Na Kyung-won is running in the next party leader election.
On the 19th, a representative from Na's side said in a phone call, "Former lawmaker Na will announce her candidacy for the party leader election at around 10 a.m. tomorrow at the National Assembly Communication Office."
In an interview with MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' Na said regarding the timing of her announcement, "I have almost made up my mind," adding, "I will announce my decision soon, whether it will be tomorrow (the 20th) or the day after tomorrow (the 21st)."
On the same day, Na visited Daegu to celebrate Buddha's Birthday, and right after her announcement, she plans to go down to Gwangju to meet her supporters.
With Na officially declaring her candidacy, the party leader election will be contested by 10 candidates: lawmakers Cho Hae-jin, Hong Moon-pyo, Yoon Young-seok, Joo Ho-young, Cho Kyung-tae, Kim Woong, Kim Eun-hye; former lawmaker Shin Sang-jin; and former Supreme Council member Lee Jun-seok.
