Police Send Singer Jeong Babi to Prosecution on Charges of Assaulting Woman and Illegal Filming
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Singer Jung Babi (real name Jung Dae-wook) has been sent to the prosecution on charges of illegally filming sexual intercourse videos and assaulting women.
According to the police on the 18th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul sent Jung to the prosecution without detention on the 17th on charges of assault and violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming using a camera, etc.).
The police began an investigation after receiving a complaint from a female victim, Ms. A, in mid-January, who alleged that she was assaulted by Jung and filmed without her consent. The police conducted digital forensic work on Jung’s mobile phone and computer, which were secured through a search and seizure, and obtained related evidence. They also summoned Jung, the victim, and witnesses for questioning.
