View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has supported hand sanitizer and fever check devices to daycare centers in the area to create a safe childcare environment from COVID-19.
The district delivered hand sanitizer and fever check devices to a total of 164 daycare centers in the area, enabling children to sanitize their hands and check their temperature simultaneously when arriving and leaving, and allowing for quick identification in case of fever.
Additionally, the district is actively supporting childcare staff working at daycare centers to receive COVID-19 vaccinations in a timely manner.
Childcare staff can make advance vaccination reservations through the website, call center, etc., by June 3, and receive vaccinations between June 7 and 19 at one of 100 designated medical institutions within Gwangjin-gu or at any preferred designated medical institution nationwide.
Along with this, the district supports the purchase of eco-friendly boilers with high fuel efficiency and fine dust reduction effects for private daycare centers in the area.
The target is 28 private daycare centers using boilers older than 10 years, with a purchase subsidy of 600,000 KRW per daycare center.
Furthermore, the district supports the purchase of preservation food equipment such as freezers and containers for 50 small-scale daycare centers to ensure children receive safe food.
This support was prepared to reduce the economic burden on small-scale daycare centers following the expansion of mandatory preservation food equipment requirements for daycare centers under the revised Infant Care Act Enforcement Rules effective this October.
