This contest targets young people who have participated in the local-led youth job project since July 1, 2018, and have experienced positive changes through employment or entrepreneurship, or have settled in the region.
The contest has two categories: 'Participation Essays' and 'Videos.' Applicants can download the application form and writing templates from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's website and participate online or by mail.
A total of 18 winners will be selected, including one grand prize winner per category, three excellence award winners per category, and five encouragement award winners per category, with a total prize of 8 million KRW. The final selected works will be introduced in various formats such as casebooks, promotional videos, and educational materials to raise public interest and spread excellent outcomes of the project.
Meanwhile, the local-led youth job project is a program supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since 2018, allowing local governments, which best understand the local field, to create and operate projects to create jobs for local youth. It targets young people aged 39 or younger who have their residence in the respective local government area.
