20s Father Sent to Prosecution for Assaulting 5-Year-Old Son "Because He Didn't Eat"

The Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency announced on the 16th that they recently sent Mr. A, in his 20s, suspected of physical abuse under the Child Welfare Act, to the prosecution without detention.
Mr. A is accused of assaulting his son B (5) at their home in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, on March 24, during a meal because B did not listen and refused to eat. It is reported that Mr. A struck B's face several times with his fist.
B sustained injuries to his face from the assault and received treatment at a medical institution with his parents. During this process, the medical staff discovered signs of abuse and reported it to the police.
