Gwangju City, Recruiting Companies to Participate in Online Job Fair
Job Fair Held from 24th to June 6th... Over 150 Companies Participating
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 14th that it is recruiting participating companies for the ‘2021 Gwangju Online Job Fair,’ held to revitalize the hiring market, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and to resolve the manpower shortage of local small and medium-sized enterprises.
The online job fair will be held online from the 24th of this month to the 6th of next month as part of social distancing measures. Gwangju City, Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, Gwangju Economic and Employment Promotion Agency, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea Photonics Industry Promotion Association, Regional Employment Policy Research Institute, and Chonnam National University will jointly participate.
Companies wishing to participate can submit their application forms via email to the Gwangju Job Comprehensive Center starting from the 17th.
The fair will be operated with a two-track online interview system for the first time nationwide, and job seekers can participate through the employment portal site Incruit and the Gwangju Job Net, a specialized portal site for the photonics industry sector.
About 150 companies from three sectors?automotive, optoelectronics, and excellent companies?will participate in this fair, providing various recruitment information such as employment success content and a corner for learning employment strategies to job seekers during the period to increase the employment rate.
Gwangju City has been hosting online job fairs since 2017, and despite the COVID-19 situation, it achieved the result of hiring 253 people through a total of five fairs last year.
In September, the Gwangju Win-Win Job Fair will be held, and in November, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Joint Online Job Fair is planned.
