Launch of 'Tourzi', a Shared Tourism Vehicle Service Utilizing Renault Twizy
Operating 50 Twizy Vehicles at Major Tourist Attractions in Busan
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 14th that it participated in the launch ceremony of 'Tourzy,' a tourism vehicle sharing service using Renault's ultra-compact electric vehicle Twizy, operating in the Busan area. The launch ceremony was attended by Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, Dominic Signora, President of Renault Samsung, and Kim Nam-jin, CEO of Tour Staff.
Tourzy is a service introduced by Busan's tourism venture startup company 'Tour Staff,' offering a contactless mobility sharing service that allows users to reserve and return vehicles using a smartphone. Starting with BEXCO and Osiria Tourist Complex, Tourzy will operate 50 Twizy vehicles at major tourist hubs in Busan and provide real-time car-sharing services along with recommendations for famous tourist spots and popular restaurants through the app.
Renault Samsung provided mobility business platform design and operational consulting for Tourzy, and in cooperation with Busan City and Busan Urban Corporation, supplied Twizy hubs and charging infrastructure at the Osiria Tourist Complex. Renault Samsung plans to propose optimal eco-tour courses in collaboration with Tour Staff in the future.
President Signora stated, "Tourzy is expected to become a popular tour item among young tourists as it contributes to carbon neutrality, contactless service, and mutual growth," adding, "We will continue to work with Busan City to create tourism jobs and foster startups in Busan."
