The special lecture was conducted for about two hours, targeting approximately 200 participants including senior superintendent-level students in the Public Security Policy course currently studying at the Police University, and those scheduled for promotion to inspector (4th-year Police University students and police officer candidates).
In his lecture, Chairman Park reviewed the current status of police reform and emphasized the completion of police reform through ▲ the stable introduction of autonomous police, ▲ securing the significance of the police as the main investigative body, and ▲ reforming intelligence police.
Chairman Park stated, "The basis for the police to become the primary investigative body should be found in the fundamental duties of the police, which are maintaining public peace and order and ensuring the safety and happiness of the people," adding, "This is the way to highlight the distinction from prosecution investigations aimed at filing and maintaining indictments."
