LG Hausys Launches Semi-Noncombustible Wall Finishing Material
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] LG Hausys launched the LG Z:IN Interior Board, a semi-noncombustible wall interior finishing material, on the 13th. Semi-noncombustible materials refer to building materials or structural components that have fire spread prevention capabilities equivalent to noncombustible materials that do not burn.
The company explained that the new product secures fire safety compliance with the Special Act on Safety Management of Multi-use Facilities. Multi-use facilities such as postpartum care centers, gosiwon (boarding rooms for exam takers), rest restaurants, and game rooms are required to install interior finishing materials made of noncombustible or semi-noncombustible materials inside. The new product is a form where an interior film is attached to a lightweight mineral-based board. Typically, building walls are finished with MDF boards and interior films after cement or gypsum boards, but this product replaces the MDF board with a fire-resistant mineral-based material, integrating them to enhance both safety and convenience.
