No Positive Cases Found in Mobile PCR Tests at Three Seoul Schools
All 720 Tested Students in Gwanak-gu Middle and High Schools and Gangdong-gu High Schools Test Negative

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] No confirmed cases were found in mobile COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests conducted at three schools in Gwanak-gu and Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 13th that a total of 720 people were tested at three middle and high schools where mobile PCR tests were conducted on the 12th, and all tested negative.
The number of testees by school is ▲462 at a middle school in Gwanak-gu (399 students, 63 staff) ▲150 at a high school in Gwanak-gu (125 students, 25 staff) ▲108 at a high school in Gangdong-gu (86 students, 22 staff).
The testing rates were 84.0% at the Gwanak-gu middle school, 22.4% at the Gwanak-gu high school, and 13.6% at the Gangdong-gu high school.
From the 3rd to the day before, mobile PCR tests were conducted at nine schools in Seoul, with 2,460 people tested so far. On the 10th, one student was confirmed positive at an elementary school in Nowon-gu.

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education is piloting a mobile specimen collection team for PCR tests to quickly identify COVID-19 cases at nearby schools where confirmed cases have occurred and at schools that have applied for testing. Based on the pilot results, the Office plans to expand testing to all areas of Seoul in the future.
