Korea Development Bank Opens Recruitment for Startup Incubation Program 'NextOne 3rd Cohort'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] The Korea Development Bank announced on the 13th that it is currently recruiting for the third cohort of its startup nurturing program, 'NextOne 3rd Generation.'
Startups wishing to participate can find application documents and guidelines on the Korea Development Bank website and the NextRound online platform notice board. Applications can be submitted via email until the 31st of this month.
Selected companies will receive support not only for office space but also tailored mentoring and business linkage to foster substantial growth. Through organic connections with existing venture platforms such as NextRound, the bank's investment attraction support program, and NextRise, the business cooperation support program, step-by-step and customized support will also be provided.
The 15 startups from the first cohort of NextOne, launched in July last year, have generated numerous business achievements including business partnerships and patent applications, as well as creating new jobs. Notably, eight startups from the first cohort successfully attracted a total investment of 7.2 billion KRW. The 15 startups in the second cohort are also participating in various programs such as mentoring for Southeast Asian market entry, customized growth strategy consulting, and the NextOne Special Round.

Meanwhile, the bank plans to open a venture capital (VC) office in Silicon Valley, USA, in the second half of this year. Through this, it aims to strengthen a comprehensive support system for startup growth by assisting domestic startups, including NextOne alumni, with overseas expansion and continuous non-face-to-face investment attraction.
